Pro musician donates drum kit to delighted primary school
Last week professional musician Shannon Harris donated a drum kit to North Kidlington Primary School. Shannon is a music producer, keyboard player and songwriter. He works with Jack Savoretti, Amy MacDonald, the RPJ Band, Lilly Allen and the American band Wheatus. The summer months usually mean he’s away on tour, but he also made time to benefit a CATS supported school with this personal donation.
Shannon is a huge supporter of the work of Cotswolds Arts Through Schools and also an admirer of the efforts of Zoe, the North Kidlington Primary School music coordinator. He wanted to lend his own support as an ambassador for CATS.
Now, with access to their new drum kit at break times and after school, the pupils at North Kidlington primary can practice their burgeoning rhythm skills.
It’s quickly become hugely popular with pupils and with inspiration from a professional musician such as Shannon, who knows what this opportunity will set them on a future path for! Perhaps they will join you on a great big summer music festival stage Shannon?! Thank you!
